About Me

A transparent ASX trading diary. Real money, real trades.

You will not find staged lifestyle photos of a guy in a suit with crossed arms here. I stay anonymous for privacy. What I do make public is the record. Every trade and every portfolio metric on this site reflects real-money execution in the Australian stock market.

This is not a guru brand. It is my personal trading journal and an ongoing experiment in discipline, process, and accountability.

10 Years: From Gambling on Luck to Building a System

I have been a software developer for over a decade. I entered the market in 2017 and, like most retail traders, experienced the full emotional cycle of ASX penny stocks and small caps: excitement, overconfidence, panic, and the occasional lucky win.

Yes, I made money at times. My desk setup is partially funded by the market. But I am honest about this: some of my biggest early wins were luck, not skill. A few well-timed bets in volatile ASX small cap stocks can make anyone feel like a genius.

That is dangerous. Winning without a repeatable process builds false confidence. So in 2025 I made a decision. Every trade must have written logic, defined risk, and a clear exit condition. If I cannot explain the thesis clearly, I have no business clicking buy.

The Developer's Edge: AI and Data Tracking

As a programmer watching the AI wave unfold, I saw an obvious use case: filter noise, structure information, and reduce emotional decision-making. I built simple tools and workflows to track thesis changes, monitor price structure, and organise research across ASX micro caps and resource stocks.

No, this did not make me rich overnight. What it did do is remove excuses. I can see when my logic breaks. I can track when a catalyst fails. I can review my ASX trade logs without rewriting history.

This website is the output of that system. It combines my portfolio tracker, weekly ASX watchlist, and detailed post-mortems into a public accountability layer.

Why Only ASX Penny Stocks?

Aussie Penny Stocks focuses strictly on the ASX. More specifically: ASX penny stocks, ASX small caps, and selected ASX micro caps. Many fall into ASX resource stocks such as gold, lithium, uranium, or other mining plays, with occasional small-cap tech exposure.

This segment of the Australian stock market is volatile by nature. Liquidity can disappear. Dilution is common. News flow drives extreme swings. That is exactly why focus matters. I would rather deeply understand one niche than pretend to understand everything.

My style leans toward ASX swing trading. Typical holding periods range from a few days to a few weeks. I do not promise returns. I do not provide investment advice. I document decisions, track outcomes, and try to improve with each cycle.

The Subscription & My Goal
  • My Portfolio and Trade Logs are fully transparent for closed positions. Wins and losses are both recorded. No cherry-picking.
  • The ASX watchlist archive shows what I was researching each week, not what I claim worked in hindsight.
  • Maintaining detailed ASX trade logs, updating data, and writing post-mortems takes time. The subscription helps sustain that effort.
  • Subscribing (currently $3 AUD/month) unlocks my active holdings and near real-time buy and sell updates. This is still not financial advice. It is simply reduced delay transparency.
  • My goal is simple: stay rational, control risk, survive volatility, and improve decision quality over a long sample size. If you find value in that, you are welcome to follow along.
